Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology (SVPUAT), Meerut is a premier state agricultural university established on 2 October 2000 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), the university has built a strong reputation for quality education, research and extension services in agriculture, veterinary sciences, biotechnology and allied sciences.
The university operates through its well-known constituent colleges including the College of Agriculture, College of Veterinary & Animal Science, College of Biotechnology, College of Horticulture and College of Technology, all located on a single sprawling campus at Modipuram, on the Delhi–Dehradun highway (NH-58), about 12 km from Meerut city. This integrated campus setup gives students access to modern laboratories, research farms, a central library, advanced computer facilities, sports infrastructure, hostels and dedicated training centres under one roof.
SVPUAT Meerut offers a wide spectrum of programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels, including B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering, Biotechnology, Dairy Technology, Food Technology), B.V.Sc & Animal Husbandry, M.Sc, M.Tech, M.V.Sc and Ph.D programs across dozens of specialisations. Admissions are entrance-based through UPCATET, with ICAR AIEEA (PG) scores also accepted for postgraduate programs.
