Overview

Bareilly International University (BIU) is a UGC-approved state private university established in 2016 under the Bareilly International University Act by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, and promoted by the Rohilkhand Charitable Educational Trust. Located on Pilibhit Bypass Road, Bareilly, the university is recognized for its strong focus on medical and health sciences education, with its constituent institutes approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC), Dental Council of India (DCI), Indian Nursing Council (INC), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and NCISM. The university’s medical programmes are offered through its constituent Rohilkhand Medical College & Hospital, Institute of Dental Sciences, Rohilkhand College of Nursing and the Faculty of Pharmacy, giving students direct exposure to hospital-based clinical training.
Spread across a 44.5-acre campus, BIU offers 65+ diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes across medical, dental, nursing, pharmacy, Ayurveda, paramedical sciences, management, humanities and journalism. Popular courses include MBBS, BDS, BAMS, B.Sc Nursing, BPT, B.Pharma, B.Sc (Medical Lab Technology, Optometry, Forensic Science), BBA, BCA, B.Com, BA (Journalism & Mass Communication), MBA, MD, MS, MDS, M.Sc Nursing, MHA and Ph.D programmes. Admissions are merit and entrance-based, accepting NEET UG/PG for medical and dental courses and CUET for most other programmes.
One of BIU’s biggest highlights is its affordable fee structure — most non-medical courses range between ₹20,000 and ₹75,000 per year, making quality higher education accessible to students from Bareilly, the Rohilkhand region and across Uttar Pradesh. The campus features modern laboratories, a central library, separate hostels for boys and girls, auditorium, sports facilities and a cafeteria. With an attached teaching hospital handling daily OPDs, strong clinical exposure and a growing placement cell connecting students with recruiters like TCS, HDFC and leading hospitals, BIU has emerged as a prominent destination for medical, nursing and paramedical education in western Uttar Pradesh.
