Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (IIT Mandi) is one of India’s premier public technical universities, established in 2009 under the Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act and recognised as an Institute of National Importance. The institute operates from its scenic permanent campus spread across the Kamand Valley, about 14 km from Mandi town in Himachal Pradesh. The campus is divided into the North Campus (housing the administrative building, academic blocks, central library and laboratories) and the South Campus (home to student hostels, dining facilities and recreation spaces), connected by a picturesque stretch of the valley. With over 500 acres of Himalayan landscape along the Uhl River, the campus offers a serene, fully residential environment for around 2,500 students.
